40 Years in Complementary Health Care

My interest in health and healing goes back to my 20s when I was fascinated by the ability of certain people to survive extraordinary circumstances and overcome ‘incurable’ disease. I wanted to know how this was possible and what made these survivors tick. Four decades on, I feel the principles of Craniosacral Biodynamics hold some of the answers and shed light on our profound resources and the natural forces at work throughout the lifespan which maintain optimal health.

When I decided to change career and study complementary medicine I knew I wanted to work with my hands. My journey took me via remedial massage, manipulative therapy, osteopathy to craniosacral therapy. I had the good fortune of gaining my cranial qualification at the Karuna Institute under the inspirational guidance of Franklyn Sills, a world leader in Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy. I went on to teach alongside Franklyn for fifteen years, gaining a depth knowledge and experience while developing my teaching approach.

In addition to my osteopathic and cranial qualifications I hold diplomas in Neuromuscular Technique, Muscle Energy Technique, Applied Kinesiology, Celloid Mineral Therapy, Impact Therapy and Focusing. I also undertook a two-years Prenatal and Birth Training with Ray Castellino

With all these tools at my disposal I found Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy the most profoundly effective in securing enduring relief from an impressive range of debilitating and distressing conditions. I also found the gentle, nonintrusive, patient-lead approach very empowering for my clients, restoring their confidence in their ability to manage their own health. I have now retired from clinical practice and concentrate on training and mentoring new generations of cranial practitioners.

I am happy to recommend some highly experienced colleagues. Click below.

Art Work

Before entering the field of bodywork, I worked in the theatre designing costumes and scenery for many productions, primarily for young audiences. And for many years I painted, exhibited and sold interior textiles.
